Stardust Polishing Powder
Polishing Powder for Marble, Limestone, Slate, Travertine & Onyx
A powder formulated to restore the factory polish and natural color to marble and stone that has dulled.
Can be used on marble, limestone, slate, travertine & onyx. Removes superficial scratches, etch marks and rings caused by certain acids in fruit juices, spirits, vinegar, etc.
— Not for use on green marble or granite.
Approximately 150 to 300 square feet per pound for restoration work and 250 to 500 square feet per pound for maintenance polishing.
The use of 175 RPM floor machine (minimum weight 100 lbs.) with solution tank, showerfeed pad driver and a white floor maintenance pad is recommended. 1) Sprinkle Stardust on floor with applicator-dispenser in a circle approximately the size of machine being used. Set machine on Stardust that has been applied to floor. With solution tank water control, apply water to floor BEFORE turning on floor machine. Add Stardust or water as necessary to maintain a watery slurry. Rotating of machine may splatter the slurry, so take care to protect adjoining areas of carpet, wood and walls. 2) If water solution tank is not used, wet a small area with clean water and sprinkle in Stardust with applicator-dispenser. Turn on floor machine and work water and Stardust into slurry. 3) Work areas of no more than 15 to 20 square feet at a time. DO NOT ALLOW SLURRY TO DRY ON FLOOR AT ANY TIME. 4) After running floor machine over the 15 or 20 square foot area three or four times, use a 16" or 18" window squeegee and pull across surface to check results. When a high polish in this area has been achieved, pull slurry, with window squeegee, to the next area to be done.
CAUTION: USE THIS PRODUCT IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS This product contains mild corrosives and must be used as directed. Keep out of children's reach. Avoid contact with food or beverages and risk of accidental ingestion. Do not refill into beverage bottles or food containers.
