RepCon 928 is a single-component, polymer-modified, rapid-setting concrete repair mortar built for early return to traffic or service
RepCon 928 is a fiber-reinforced repair mortar with an integral corrosion inhibitor, designed for concrete floors, highway pavements, bridge decks, and other horizontal or formed vertical repairs where minimizing downtime matters. It meets ASTM C928 and AASHTO T260 standards.
Key Features & Benefits
- One-component, dry-polymer modified — just add water
- Fiber-reinforced for added flexural strength
- Air-entrained for excellent freeze-thaw durability
- Natural concrete-gray color
- Suitable for horizontal and formed vertical application
- Takes foot traffic in 1 hour after set
Application Instructions
- Ensure concrete is sound and free of oil, grease, dust, laitance, or contaminants
- Saw cut the perimeter of the repair area 1/8" deeper than the repair depth for a notched edge
- Mechanically abrade to a minimum CSP of 5 per ICRI 310.2, keeping the surface SSD with no standing water
- Clean exposed steel reinforcement of rust and prime with SpecPrep SB
- Mix 4.75-5.0 pints of clean water per 50 lb bag (up to 5.25 pints for more flowable, non-DOT applications) with a low-speed drill or mortar mixer for 2-3 minutes
- Apply from 1" to 2" without aggregate extension; for deeper repairs, extend with clean, pre-dampened 3/8" aggregate up to 60% by weight (over 1") or 100% by weight (over 4")
- Trowel or screed into place, allow initial set before hand-troweling to finish
Technical Data Summary
- Set Time (70°F, ASTM C266): Initial set 40 minutes, final set 45 minutes

- Bond Strength: 2,245 psi at 7 days (modified ASTM C882)
- Flexural Strength: 1,250 psi at 7 days, 1,350 psi at 28 days
- Freeze-Thaw Durability: Nearly 100% after 300 cycles (ASTM C666)
- Chloride Ion Permeability: 866 coulombs at 28 days (low)
