Heavy-Duty Non-Shrink Metallic Grout for Industrial Applications
SC Metallic Grout is a non-shrink, metallic cement-based grout engineered for heavy industrial applications exposed to dynamic, repetitive, and impact loading. Designed for maximum load transfer and long-term durability, it is commonly used beneath heavy machinery, crane rails, structural columns, equipment bases, bearing plates, and industrial foundations. The grout is chloride-free, non-corrosive, and suitable for applications ranging from dry-pack consistency to fluid placements.
Key Features & Benefits
High Early Strength
Develops exceptional early compressive strength to reduce downtime and accelerate equipment installation schedules.
Non-Shrink Performance
Formulated to maintain positive bearing contact and minimize shrinkage after placement, helping maximize equipment support and load transfer.
Metallic Aggregate Reinforcement
Contains metallic aggregates designed for demanding industrial environments where vibration, impact, and repetitive loading occur.
Non-Corrosive Formula
Does not contain chlorides and is designed to resist corrosion while protecting embedded steel components.
Freeze-Thaw Resistant
Provides excellent durability in exterior environments exposed to freeze-thaw cycling.
Interior & Exterior Use
Suitable for both indoor and outdoor grouting projects where high-strength performance is required.
Common Applications
Heavy Equipment Foundations
Used beneath industrial machinery requiring precise alignment and long-term load support.
Crane Rail Grouting
Provides durable support beneath crane rails exposed to repetitive movement and heavy loading.
Structural Column Bases
Ideal for grouting steel columns and structural supports where maximum bearing capacity is required.
Pump & Equipment Bases
Creates a stable foundation beneath pumps, compressors, generators, and rotating equipment.
Bearing Plates & Industrial Installations
Provides precision support beneath bearing plates and equipment requiring full contact bearing surfaces.

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation
Before placement:
- Remove dirt, oil, grease, and loose materials.
- Ensure concrete is structurally sound and roughened.
- Remove rust and contaminants from metal surfaces.
- Bring substrate to Saturated Surface Dry (SSD) condition.
- Remove standing water before grouting.
Mixing
Mix in two stages:
- Add approximately 2/3 of required water.
- Add grout material while mixing.
- Add remaining water to achieve desired consistency.
- Continue mixing for 2–3 minutes.
- Place within 30 minutes of mixing.
Placement
- Place continuously from one side only.
- Avoid trapping air beneath plates.
- Do not vibrate grout.
- Maintain minimum 1-inch vertical clearance beneath base plates whenever possible.
Curing
- Cover immediately with wet curing cloths.
- Maintain moisture until final set.
- Apply ASTM C309 curing compound after final set.
