Frequently Asked Questions

What makes reflective glass different from standard terrazzo glass?
Reflective glass has a one-sided mirror coating that creates a metallic shimmer and amplifies light and flame. Standard terrazzo glass is transparent or opaque; reflective glass bounces light in multiple directions for a more dramatic effect.

Is reflective glass safe for fireplaces and fire pits?
Yes — it is tempered and safe for use with gas and propane burners. It will not melt, burn, or produce toxic fumes under normal fire feature use. Not suitable for wood-burning applications.

How much do I need?
For countertop seeding, plan on approximately 1.25 lbs per square foot for 70–80% coverage. For fire features at 1 inch depth, plan on 7 lbs per square foot. A standard 2 ft × 2 ft fireplace typically requires around 25–30 lbs.

Is this glass recycled?
Yes — 100% recycled post-consumer and post-industrial glass, processed in the USA. LEED documentation available upon request.
