Metacaulk Putty Pads - Case of 20

Metacaulk Putty is a non-curing, moldable, one-component firestop material designed to seal through-penetration systems in fire-rated assemblies.

When exposed to high temperatures, the intumescent formula expands to form an insulating char that helps prevent the spread of flames, smoke, gas, and water through penetrations.

Easy to install by hand with no mixing or special tools required, Metacaulk Putty provides reliable fire protection while maintaining flexibility for future cable or conduit changes. Its non-hazardous, solvent-free formulation makes it suitable for use in occupied and confined spaces.

The intumescent formula expands during fire exposure to help maintain the integrity of fire-rated assemblies.

Simple Installation

The moldable putty installs quickly by hand without mixing, additives, or specialized equipment.

Excellent Sound Control

Putty pads offer an STC rating of 60, helping reduce sound transmission through wall penetrations.

Code-Compliant Performance

Designed to help meet firestop requirements in rated wall assemblies, including electrical box installations where required by building codes.

Safe & Non-Hazardous

Contains no volatile solvents or asbestos fillers, making it suitable for use in occupied spaces.

How to Use

Surface Preparation

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of loose debris.

• Verify that the firestop system complies with the applicable tested assembly.

• Always follow approved installation details for the specific application.

Application Instructions

1. Remove the required amount of putty from the package.

2. Mold the putty by hand to fit the penetration or opening.

3. Apply directly around cables, conduits, electrical boxes, or other approved penetrations.

4. Press firmly to ensure complete contact with surrounding surfaces.

5. Confirm that the penetration is fully sealed according to the tested firestop system.

Important Notes

• Install only in accordance with tested and approved firestop systems.

• Follow all applicable building codes and manufacturer installation instructions.

• Designed for passive fire protection applications only.

• Always verify compatibility with the intended fire-rated assembly.
