Metacaulk Putty Sticks - Case of 12

Metacaulk Putty is a moldable, non-curing, one-component fire-rated material designed for through-penetration firestop systems.

When exposed to fire, the intumescent formula expands and forms an insulating char that helps prevent the spread of flames, smoke, gas, and water through penetrations.

Designed for easy installation in commercial, residential, and industrial applications, Metacaulk Putty provides reliable passive fire protection without mixing or special tools. Its flexible formulation allows quick application around cables, conduits, metal pipes, electrical boxes, and other approved penetrations.

Key Benefits

Reliable Fire Protection

The intumescent formulation expands during fire exposure to create an insulating char that helps maintain the integrity of fire-rated assemblies and limit the spread of fire, smoke, and gases.

Simple Installation

Metacaulk Putty is applied by hand and requires no mixing, special skills, additives, or equipment, making installation quick and efficient.

Excellent Sound Control

Putty pads provide an STC rating of 60, helping reduce sound transmission through electrical boxes and wall penetrations.

Code-Compliant Performance

Designed to meet tested firestop requirements for rated partitions and approved through-penetration systems.

Safe Interior Application

The solvent-free formulation contains no asbestos fillers and is suitable for use in occupied and confined spaces.

How to Use

Surface Preparation

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, debris, and contaminants.

• Verify that the installation follows an approved firestop system.

• Confirm compatibility with the rated assembly before installation.

Application Instructions

1. Remove the required amount of Metacaulk Putty from the package.

2. Mold the putty by hand to fit around the penetration or opening.

3. Apply around cables, electrical conduits, metal pipes, electrical boxes, or approved penetrations.

4. Press firmly to ensure complete contact with surrounding surfaces.

5. Confirm the penetration is fully sealed according to the tested firestop system.

Important Notes

• Do not expose to water.

• Install only according to tested and approved firestop systems.

• Follow manufacturer installation instructions and applicable building codes.

• Designed for passive fire protection applications only.

• Store in a clean, dry location until use.
