Strong Bond improves the flexural strength, bond strength, and impact resistance of mortars and concrete, and concrete fortified with it resists freeze-thaw cycling and chloride ion penetration well. It may contribute to LEED credits.

Application Instructions

• Mechanically abrade the substrate to remove unsound concrete, ensuring a dust-free surface with adequate profile for mechanical lock
• Substrate should be saturated-surface-dry (SSD) with no standing water
• For increased durability, dilution rates of 2:1 or 1:1 can be used; typically blend 1 part cement to 3 parts sand, then add Strong Bond as needed
• Not recommended as a standalone waterproofing agent
• Protect Strong Bond film or bond coat from freezing until topping is placed
