Product Description
Wood's Powr-Grip N4950AIR — 8" Air-Powered (Pneumatic) Vacuum Hand Cup for Flat Surfaces (125 lbs / 57 kg)
The Wood's Powr-Grip N4950AIR is a pneumatic vacuum hand cup that uses a user-supplied air compressor to generate vacuum for lifting flat smooth, nonporous surfaces up to 125 lbs (57 kg). Featuring an 8" (20 cm) standard rubber suction pad (Model G0695), an all-metal handle and plunger, and fast attach and release, the N4950AIR delivers the same high-capacity flat-surface performance as the manual N4950 with air-powered vacuum generation. Protective carrying case included. Air compressor not included — user-supplied. Please note: 8–9 week lead time. The N4950AIR (SKU: 91525, Model: N4950AIR) is manufactured by Wood's Powr-Grip.
The N4950AIR is the air-powered counterpart to the manual N4950 — both use the same 8" G0695 pad, 125 lb capacity, all-metal construction, and flat-only smooth nonporous surface rating. The difference is vacuum generation: the N4950AIR uses a user-supplied air compressor rather than manual pumping. This makes the N4950AIR suited for applications where manual pumping is impractical — such as high-frequency repetitive lifts in production or fabrication environments where operator fatigue from repeated manual pumping is a concern, or where a compressed air source is already available at the point of use. For textured surface applications, see the N10TAIR (foam pad, air-powered, textured surfaces).
Key Features & Benefits
Air-Powered (Pneumatic) Vacuum — User-Supplied Air Compressor Required
The N4950AIR generates vacuum using compressed air from a user-supplied air compressor rather than manual pumping. This eliminates operator fatigue from repeated manual pumping in high-frequency production and fabrication environments, and provides consistent vacuum generation across repeated lifts. The air compressor is not included and must be supplied by the user. Ensure a compressed air source is available at the point of use before selecting the N4950AIR.
8" G0695 Standard Rubber Pad — Smooth Flat Surfaces Only
The N4950AIR uses the 8" (20 cm) G0695 standard rubber suction pad — the same pad as the manual N4950, N4950WBP, and N4000. The G0695 requires a smooth, flat, nonporous surface to form a seal. For textured or irregular surfaces, the N10TAIR (foam pad, air-powered) is the correct choice. Replacement G0695 pads are available separately through Wood’s Powr-Grip authorized distributors and are interchangeable across all G0695 models.
125 lb (57 kg) Rated Load Capacity — All-Metal Handle and Plunger
Rated for loads up to 125 lbs (57 kg) on flat smooth, nonporous surfaces — identical to the manual N4950. Both the handle and plunger are constructed from metal for maximum durability in heavy-duty production and fabrication environments.
Protective Carrying Case Included — 8–9 Week Lead Time
The N4950AIR ships with a protective carrying case. Please note: this product has an 8–9 week lead time from order placement. Plan procurement accordingly for project and production schedules.
Common Applications
High-Frequency Flat Glass Handling in Production Environments
Glass fabricators and processors performing high-frequency repetitive lifts of flat glass panels use the N4950AIR where manual pumping fatigue across repeated lifts is a concern and a compressed air source is available at the workstation. The air-powered vacuum generation provides consistent, repeatable attachment without operator pumping effort.
Flat Stone and Panel Fabrication
Stone fabricators and panel processors handling flat polished stone, engineered stone, and smooth panel materials in production environments use the N4950AIR for consistent vacuum generation across high-volume repetitive lifts.
Industrial Flat Surface Handling with Compressed Air Available
Any industrial flat-surface handling application where a compressed air source is already available at the point of use and where the 125 lb capacity and 8" G0695 pad are appropriate for the material being handled.
N4950AIR vs. Related Models
- vs. N4950 (manual): Same pad (G0695), capacity (125 lb), all-metal construction, flat-only rating. N4950AIR uses air compressor; N4950 uses manual pumping. Choose N4950AIR for high-frequency production use with compressed air available; choose N4950 for field use without compressed air.
- vs. N4950WBP (manual + audio alarm): N4950WBP adds a Low Vacuum Audio Alarm to the manual N4950. N4950AIR replaces manual pumping with air power but has no audio alarm.
- vs. N10TAIR (air-powered, textured surfaces): Both are air-powered. N4950AIR uses G0695 rubber pad for smooth flat surfaces (125 lb, 8" pad). N10TAIR uses VPFS10T foam pad for textured/irregular flat surfaces (150 lb, 10" pad). Choose based on surface texture.
Compatible Materials
- Flat plate glass and float glass
- Tempered and laminated safety glass (flat)
- Polished granite, marble, and engineered stone (flat)
- Smooth painted or coated metal panels (flat)
- Glazed ceramic and polished porcelain tile (flat)
- Any smooth, nonporous flat surface with load ≤ 125 lbs
Not compatible with: curved surfaces (flat only); rough, textured, or porous surfaces; applications without a compressed air source available.

Safety Data Summary
- Air compressor must be maintained and operated per the compressor manufacturer’s safety instructions
- Vacuum loss during a lift can result in sudden load drop, causing serious injury or property damage
- Do not exceed the 125 lb (57 kg) rated load capacity
- Flat smooth nonporous surfaces only — do not use on curved, textured, or porous surfaces
- Damaged or contaminated suction pads must be replaced before use
- Operating below 10°F (-12°C) may degrade rubber pad performance
- Do not use above 5,000 ft (1,500 m) elevation
- Safety glasses or face shield, cut-resistant gloves, and steel-toed footwear required
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why choose the N4950AIR over the manual N4950?
A: The N4950AIR is suited for high-frequency repetitive lifts in production and fabrication environments where manual pumping fatigue across repeated lifts is a concern and a compressed air source is already available at the workstation. For field use or applications without compressed air, the manual N4950 is the correct choice.
Q: What is the lead time for the N4950AIR?
A: The N4950AIR has an 8–9 week lead time from order placement. Plan procurement accordingly for project and production schedules.
Q: Is the air compressor included?
A: No. The air compressor is user-supplied and not included. Ensure a compressed air source is available at the point of use before ordering.
Q: Is the G0695 pad interchangeable with the N4950 and N4000?
A: Yes. The N4950AIR, N4950, N4950WBP, and N4000 all use the G0695 standard rubber pad (8" diameter), making replacement pads interchangeable across all four models.
Q: Is this product made to order?
A: Yes. This product is made to order and all sales are final. Please confirm your surface type, load requirements, and compressed air availability before placing your order.
