Duo Patch is a two-component, polymer-modified concrete repair mortar versatile enough for horizontal, vertical, and overhead repairs

Duo Patch pairs a repair mortar with an admix to adapt to the job — flowable for large horizontal areas, or mixed stiffer for vertical and overhead work. It holds up well in industrial settings like warehouses, parking decks, and roadways subject to heavy loads and abrasion.

Application Instructions

• Ensure the concrete is clean and free of oil, grease, dust, laitance, and other contaminants
• Mechanically abrade to a minimum CSP of 3 per ICRI 310.2
• For heavy-load or high-traffic repairs, saw-cut a 1/4" recess around the perimeter for a thickened, reinforced edge
• Surface must be saturated-surface-dry (SSD) before application
• Mix 7.0-7.5 pints of Duo Patch Admix per 50 lb bag with a low-speed drill, adding powder gradually to the liquid, for 2-3 minutes
• For repairs up to 1" thick, apply directly (do not exceed 7 pints of admix for depths over 1/2")
• For repairs over 1", extend with up to 60% by weight (30 lbs) of clean, SSD 3/8" aggregate and mix 2 more minutes; place within 15-20 minutes
• Apply with a trowel, screed, or pour, screeding flush with the surrounding surface
• After initial set, hand trowel to match surrounding texture; SpecChem IntraFilm can be used as a finishing aid

• Compressive Strength (ASTM C109): 2,500 psi at 1 day, 4,000 psi at 7 days, 6,000 psi at 28 days

• Flexural Strength (ASTM C348): 650 psi at 7 days, 1,300 psi at 28 days
• Shelf Life: 12 months unopened, stored in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight; keep Admix from freezing
