Metacaulk Cover Guard Decor - 50 Count

Metacaulk Cover Guard is a one-piece fire-rated gasket designed to help meet the “24-inch rule” requirement for electrical boxes installed in fire-rated wall assemblies.

It provides an effective firestop solution by helping maintain the integrity of rated walls where electrical boxes are installed in close proximity.

When exposed to heat, the intumescent material expands to form a protective char that helps seal openings, prevent flame spread, and reduce heat transfer. Designed for seamless installation inside the cover plate, Metacaulk Cover Guard provides fire protection without reducing electrical box volume.

Key Benefits

Reliable Fire Protection

The intumescent gasket expands when exposed to heat, forming a char that helps seal openings and reduce the spread of flames, smoke, and heat.

Simple Installation

The one-piece design mounts inside the cover plate and installs at the same time, eliminating the need for additional firestop materials or complicated installation steps.

Space-Saving Design

Metacaulk Cover Guard provides required fire protection without taking up valuable space inside the electrical box.

Sound Control

With an STC rating of 54, Metacaulk Cover Guard helps improve acoustic performance by reducing sound transmission through electrical box openings.

Code-Compliant Performance

Designed and tested for approved fire-rated electrical box applications in accordance with ASTM E814 (UL 1479).
