XPS Fanfold Protects Waterproofing Membrane from Backfill
After the waterproofing membrane is applied to the foundation, protect it from damage during backfilling with PB4 Waterproofing Protection Board. Its dense, closed-cell construction and tough plastic facers resist both moisture absorption and decomposition.

How do I install XPS on my basement wall?
- You can glue or fasten the board to the concrete wall. When applying the glue, place a minimum of 5 large sections of glue in the 4 corners and one in the center. Install the board to the wall and apply pressure until the glue holds tight. You can find compatible adhesives in our TB11. Kingspan recommends Loctite Power Grab Adhesive.
- You can fasten the board to the wall with 5 Plasti-Grip PMF Anchors from TRUFAST.
- Apply common spray foam to the top and bottom to provide an airtight seal around the XPS board.
- XPS must be covered by a code approved thermal barrier such as drywall. This is for occupied spaces.
