SpecPoxy Mortar is a three-component, 100% solids epoxy mortar engineered for heavy-duty industrial and commercial floor repair.
This system combines a high-quality epoxy binder with an engineered blend of graded aggregates to deliver superior trowel-ability, compressive and tensile strength, and impact and chemical resistance. Ideal for warehouse floors, ramps, loading docks, and rebuilding joint nosings, SpecPoxy Mortar cures to a light gray finish and is ready for foot traffic in 12 hours and vehicle traffic in 24 hours.
Key Features
- Superior bond, compressive, and flexural strength
- Ideal for high-traffic areas like loading docks and ramps
- Pre-measured proportions with a long pot life for easy installation
- Trowel-able consistency tailored for horizontal applications
- Exceptional abrasion, chemical, and impact resistance
- Moisture insensitive and stain resistant
- Dries to a light gray mortar color
Application
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dirt, laitance, curing compounds, and other foreign materials. Mechanical abrasion or sandblasting is recommended to create a suitable bonding profile.
Mix component A and component B at a 1:1 ratio by volume for 2-3 minutes, then gradually add component C (aggregate), ensuring all aggregate is thoroughly coated. Air, material, and surface temperatures should be between 50°F and 90°F; preconditioning materials to approximately 70°F makes for easier mixing.
Apply the mixed mortar within 30-40 minutes using a trowel or rake. For added texture and traction, broadcast dry sand into the wet mortar immediately after application.
Coverage
A 1/2 cubic foot unit at 1/4" thickness covers approximately 24 sq ft.
