Gladiator Crack Fill Fast is a hybrid polyurea crack filler formulated for repairing concrete. The two-component, 98% solids system provides high penetration and fast setting for repairing damaged joints, filling spalling, and rebuilding vertical curbing and steps. Sand or gravel can be added to increase material volume and provide filler for repairing larger holes and cracks. The product is supplied in factory-proportioned packaging with a 1:1 mixing ratio for easy handling and mixing.

Fast Cure Time

Surface Preparation

The surface must be clean, sound, and dry. Trowel marks and surface imperfections must be removed to produce a smooth and uniform surface. The substrate must be free of wax, grease, oils, fats, soil, contaminants, loose or foreign matter, and laitance. Concrete should be cleaned and prepared using a shot blast machine or adequate grinding equipment to achieve a CSP-3 to CSP-4 profile according to ICRI guidelines.

Concrete should have a compressive strength of at least 3,500 psi (24 MPa) at 28 days and at least 215 psi (1.5 MPa) in tension at the time of product application.

Priming

Priming is required for concrete substrates. The primer should be allowed to cure until tack-free before applying the subsequent coat. Before applying the subsequent coat, verify that the primer is free of pinholes, bubbles, and open porous areas and that the entire surface is uniformly coated. Moisture vapor transmission levels should be verified before priming, and a polymer moisture vapor barrier system may be required for substrates affected by elevated transmission rates.

Mixing

1. Mechanically premix Part A (resin) with an appropriate slow-speed drill equipped with a Jiffy Mixer for 1 minute.
2. Slowly empty the entire contents of Part B into the container holding Part A and continue mixing for no more than 30 seconds.
3. Only prepare the quantity needed because the product has fast dry times. Do not mix more material than can be applied within the working time limits.

Storage

Store all components in dry, temperature-controlled areas between 54–78°F. Do not expose the product to freezing or excessive high heat. Shelf life is 2 years in an unopened factory-filled container when stored in a dry area between 54–75°F.

Precautions & Limitations

• Substrate moisture must be ≤4% by mass as measured by a concrete moisture meter on a mechanically prepared surface.
• Avoid condensation. The substrate must be at least 37°F above the dew point.
• Do not add thinners or solvents to the mix.
• Do not add water.
• Use only in well-ventilated areas.
• Safety glasses and protective gloves are required.
• Dispose of waste materials in accordance with government regulations.
