Non-woven, Non-perforated with Polyolefin Coating Wrap
Breathable polyolefin coating performs as both a water-resistive barrier and as an air barrier.
Is it OK to install the building wrap upside down, sideways, or with the printing facing the wall?
In the case of RainDrop® building wrap, the product must be installed with the correct side to the exterior and the drainage channels vertical, or at a slight angle from vertical, for the product to function properly. (Horizontal drainage channels do not really work.) Performance of flat wraps is not particularly affected by install direction, from a fabric perspective. However, installing wrap consistently indicates that you have followed guidelines to achieve a proper water-resistive barrier. Care should be taken to install the wrap in a shingling fashion (check local codes for overlap requirements). In addition, the appearance of the final job sends a message. You can guess what message a sloppy, inconsistent installation sends.
Does fanfold provide good insulation value?
The primary purpose of fanfold is to level out the walls, so the new siding goes on straight. Fanfold does provide some additional R-Value to the wall depending on the thickness.
What's the R-Value of vacuum insulation?
Kingspan OPTIM-R has a design R-value of 28.
Why choose vacuum insulation panels?
VIPs provide the thinnest possible solution to insulation problems, while also providing an insulating performance that is up to five times better than commonly used insulation materials.
What is KoolDuct made of?
The KoolDuct panels comprise a rigid closed cell non-fibrous phenolic insulation core faced on both sides with a protective 25-micron (1 mil) aluminum foil with low vapor permeability and reinforced with a 5 mm (0.2”) glass scrim.
Where can I use phenolic insulation?
It can be used in a variety of ceiling and wall applications, which makes it a great solution for a range of constructions. Find out more information in our technical brochures.
