Application Instructions

Surface Preparation

1. Protect people, plants, vehicles, glass, solvent-sensitive materials, roofing material, and all surfaces not set for stripping from product, splash, rinse, residue, fumes, and wind drift.
2. Scrape or pressure rinse the surface to remove all peeling and/or loose coatings.
3. Let the surface dry thoroughly before applying stripper.
4. Protect any sensitive metal finishes with solvent-resistant polyethylene secured by duct tape.
5. Confirm surface and air temperatures are above 40°F (4°C) and below 85°F (29°C).

Testing

1. Always test a small area of each surface to confirm suitability, coverage rate, and desired results before beginning overall application.
2. Test with the same equipment, surface preparation, and application procedures planned for general application.
3. Let the test area dry thoroughly before inspection.
4. Test for dwell time, application thickness, and number of applications needed to remove all traces of coating.

Application

1. Apply as packaged — do not dilute or alter the product.
2. Apply using a solvent-resistant brush or roller.
3. Apply a thicker layer for heavier coatings.
4. Allow sufficient dwell time for the product to break the bond of the coating. Note: dwell times effective in one season may not be effective in another due to temperature variation.

Rinsing

1. Rinse with enough water and pressure to flush spent cleaner and dissolved coating from the surface and surface pores without damage.
2. For porous surfaces, use masonry-washing equipment generating 400–1,000 psi with a water flow rate of 6–8 gallons per minute and a 15–45° fan spray tip.
3. Heated water (150–180°F; 65–82°C) may improve cleaning efficiency.
4. Use adjustable equipment to reduce water flow rates and rinsing pressure as needed for sensitive surfaces.
5. Do not exceed 1,000 psi or use fan spray tips smaller than 15° on sensitive surfaces, as permanent damage may result.
6. Do not use water flow rates less than 6 gallons per minute, as this may reduce cleaning productivity and contribute to uneven results.
7. Ensure rinsing is thorough — inadequate rinsing leaves residues that may stain the cleaned surface.

Storage and Handling

1. Store in a cool, dry place at 45–100°F (7–38°C).
2. Always seal container after dispensing.
3. Do not alter or mix with other chemicals.
4. Do not double stack pallets.
5. Dispose of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
