Product Description
CPS 400E-150, CPS 500E-150, and CPS 900E-150 are heavy-duty portable electric air compressors designed for USA 460V 60Hz AC operation, built for demanding construction, industrial, and rental applications.
Whether used indoors or outdoors for back-up plant air, industrial rental, shipyards, mining, general construction work, or sandblasting, all three models are built for these applications. The compressors are driven by the latest highly efficient IE3 WEG motor, ensuring low operational costs and high resale value.
Each unit in the E-Air range is supplied as a skid-mounted, stainless steel camlock, aftercooled configuration. Many features are included as standard — such as soft starter, cam locks, breaker, and cold weather capability — allowing units to be built from the simplest to the most complex specialized application. Despite their compact size, these compressors provide exceptional access to all service and maintenance points, and are built for reliability, ease of maintenance, and CSA/UL compliance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: What motors power the CPS 400E-150, 500E-150, and 900E-150? A: Each unit is driven by a high-efficiency, CE and CSA/UL compliant WEG motor. Motor output at rated speed is 100 HP for the CPS 400E, 125 HP for the CPS 500E, and 220 HP for the CPS 900E.
Q: What flow and pressure do these units deliver? A: All three models operate between 58 and 150 psi effective working pressure. At 150 psi, free air delivery is 403 cfm for the CPS 400E, 493 cfm for the CPS 500E, and 871 cfm for the CPS 900E.
Q: Can these compressors start in cold weather? A: Yes. The motor can start the compressor down to -13°F (-25°C) without the addition of a cold start aid.
Q: What safety devices are included? A: The compressors are equipped with standard safety devices that shut the unit off completely if compressor oil temperature rises too high, if there is a wrong phase sequence connection, a short circuit, motor overload, or high air temperature.
Q: What does the standard bodywork and containment look like? A: Units are delivered with a zincor coated steel canopy with a powder coat paint finish for corrosion protection, and the canopy is fully sound attenuated. The frame also provides 110% spillage-free containment.
Q: What are the typical maintenance intervals? A: Service intervals are long — 2000 hours or 1 year — with the air filter changed as needed or every 1000 hours.
